Discovery Call

Everything starts with a conversation. To make sure it's a productive one, you'll complete a short intake form before we schedule — we review it ahead of time so we're prepared when we talk. The call runs about an hour. This is not a sales call. There's nothing to buy and we're not here to pitch you anything. It's a genuine conversation: we want to understand your business, identify what's actually going on, and figure out together whether working with us even makes sense. Some business owners walk away with real clarity they can act on immediately — and that's completely fine with us. If there's a fit for something more, we'll talk about what that could look like.

What Happens

  • You complete a short intake form covering your business, goals, and current challenges
  • We review your responses and prepare for the conversation
  • We schedule and conduct the discovery call — roughly one hour
  • We discuss where your business is, where you want it to go, and what's in the way
  • We determine whether there's a fit and what an engagement could look like

Your Involvement

Your time to fill out the intake form and show up ready to have an honest conversation about your business. No preparation needed beyond that.

Custom Proposal

If there's a fit, we build a solution specifically around your business — not a template pulled off a shelf. We take what we learned in the discovery call and develop a custom approach, scope of work, and investment options so you can see exactly what working with us looks like before committing to anything. Then we walk you through it live on a call. Ask questions, push back, or just listen. We're not looking to close a deal. If you need time to think it through, want to come back with more questions, or need a follow-up call to revisit the plan — that's completely fine. We'd rather you make the right decision than a fast one.

What Happens

  • We develop your custom solution based on the discovery call
  • We define scope, deliverables, investment, and engagement options
  • We prepare a written proposal outlining everything clearly
  • We schedule a proposal presentation call and walk through it together
  • You review the options and decide whether and how you want to move forward

Show up to the proposal call with your questions. No pressure, no commitment required — take the time you need to make the right decision.

Strategy & Planning

Engagement Begins

Once you've decided to move forward and the engagement is formalized, we get to work — together. This is the most intensive phase of the process. Through a series of collaborative working sessions, we build the strategies, frameworks, and plans that form the foundation of everything we'll do together. You're an active participant throughout, not a passive recipient. Your context and input are what make the plan actually work for your business.

What Happens

  • Kickoff session to align on scope, priorities, and working approach
  • Regular collaborative working sessions throughout the phase
  • Strategy development tailored to your specific business and situation
  • Framework, process, and system design as applicable to your engagement
  • Documentation of the plan — strategies, priorities, and action items
  • Review and refinement sessions until the plan is solid and ready to execute

Your Involvement

Active participation in working sessions is essential. This phase requires your time, honest input, and engagement. The more you invest here, the more useful the output.

What You Get

A documented strategy and plan — something concrete you can act on, share with your team, and refer back to throughout execution.

Execution & Support

For most engagements, developing the strategy is just the beginning. This phase is where we actually implement what we've built together — putting the work from Phase 3 into motion in your business. Every engagement looks different here: some are strategy-only and this phase may not apply; others involve deep implementation support over time. It depends entirely on what you've engaged us for.

What Happens

  • Hands-on implementation of the strategies and plans developed in Phase 3
  • Ongoing collaboration as we execute across the scope of your engagement
  • Iterative refinement as we learn what's working and adjust as needed

Your Involvement

Active involvement throughout. Implementation requires you and your team — we're here to guide, drive, and execute alongside you, not do it in isolation.

What You Get

The results of the work itself: operational improvements, implemented processes, and real progress aligned with your strategy.

Ongoing Support (Optional)

For some engagements, an ongoing support component is also available — providing regular monthly check-ins, continued implementation assistance, and iterative improvements as your business evolves. This is not included in every engagement; it's an optional extension scoped to your needs.

Common Questions

It depends on the scope. The discovery call is a single conversation. From there, the proposal and strategy phases vary based on complexity and how quickly we can work together. Execution support and ongoing advisory are open-ended and scoped per engagement. We'll give you a realistic timeline in the proposal.
That's common. We can scope engagements to a specific area — financial planning only, operational consulting only, etc. We'll recommend the right scope after our initial conversation.
Both, depending on your engagement. Our process typically includes an execution phase where we actively work alongside you to implement the strategies we've developed together — it's not just advice in a document. Some engagements are strategy-only; others include deep implementation support. The scope is defined in your proposal.
